About Dr. Kelley Busjaeger

Welcome! As a Stanford-trained clinical psychologist, I provide therapy to adult clients in the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout California. I am passionate about helping my clients achieve their goals and create meaningful lives. My areas of specialization include the treatment of anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, life transitions, and relationship issues. In addition to private practice, I am a staff psychologist at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System.

Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered, collaborative, and strength-based, with a warm and compassionate therapeutic style. The therapy relationship is a unique context that can facilitate healing and growth. I strive to create a safe and inclusive space for my clients in which they feel supported and empowered to make positive change.

Through our work together, I help my clients gain insight into their experiences, connect with their values, engage in effective behaviors, and lead fulfilling lives. Grounded in cultural sensitivity, I use evidence-based therapies tailored to the individual needs of each client, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT).
